This official website of the Town of Ashland, New Hampshire, provides information about the town government and the community for residents and visitors.

Ashland is a picturesque rural community, gateway to the Lakes Region and on the southern edge of the White Mountain National Forest. The community of Ashland is bordered on the west by the Pemigewasset River and on the east by Little Squam Lake. Ashland offers historical places, outdoor recreational opportunities, local artists and businesses to visit, as well as dining, shopping, and other services.

Notes from the Town Clerk:

  • Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-4pm
  • NEW–Vehicle registrations can now be done at the Ashland Town Hall.  Current accepted forms of payment are CASH or CHECKS.  
  • NEW–June 4th is the last day to change party affiliation before the state primary election in September
  • ANNOUNCEMENT Dog licensing can now be done at the Ashland Town Hall.  PLEASE HAVE YOUR DOGS REGISTERED BY MAY 24th.
    • Many transactions can be done online, including vehicle registrations, payment of taxes, dog license renewals. See the appropriate icons on the website. There is also a dropbox outside of the Town Hall entrance for payments.
    • Transfer Station Decals are available at the Town Office, $5

“Meeting announcements for each public body of the Town of Ashland (committee, commission, board, trustees, etc.) will be posted on the Town of Ashland website calendar, under each meeting’s scheduled date, with time and location indicated. Meeting announcements, per RSA 91:A,  shall be posted on the Town’s website and the Town Office bulletin board or outside showcase. Other public places for posting may include the Ashland Post Office and the Ashland Utility Building outside showcase.”
